We had to make the tough decision to not go on a last minute trip somewhere. We are cautious in how we spend our money and time and decided that getting a vehicle should be top priority. Paul spent all day Monday ordering our new addition to the family and on Wednesday we drove all of 5 minutes to the Aryaduta Hotel where we spent a couple of nights away from home. It was good to get away from the house. We did a lot of swimming at the beautiful pool, which ended up being disastrous for Vince and Alana, who ended up getting swimmers ear. Alana suffered from an ear infection first and even experienced her ear drum bursting... poor girl! Once we get her on meds, Vince started complaining. He experienced tremendous amounts of pain over four days because the meds were not working and his ears were completely plugged. We ended up seeing an ENT specialist who was able to finally help Vince.
It was great to have a break from school and from routines and sleep in a bit (who knew that 7:00 would feel like sleeping in). Here are a few pictures of our mini vacation!

On Monday, October 21, 2013 we welcomed Ertiga to the family. She is very much loved as she has given us a bit more freedom and independence.
