Since the last time....

October and November were great months.  And here we are, starting into December with only a few weeks to go before Christmas Holidays.  We, as usual, have been busy with living our very "normal" lives and making memories along the way.

October Break

During our holiday in October we headed down to the coast where we enjoyed a lovely stay in a bungalow on the beach in Pelabuhan Ratu with some wonderful friends.

considering we had no other way to continue without bottoming out.

Thanksgiving

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with all the Canadians that are a part of this wonderful community.  It was meaningful to share our memories of Thanksgivings in Canada, to sing the National Anthem, and enjoy delicious food, especially a few days after the shooting in Ottawa occurred.  We may live in Indonesia, but being Canadian is who we are.

Trip to Sinagpore

Because I am now working, I had to take a special trip to Singapore in order to get my working visa sorted out.  A trip on an airplane without Paul and the kids was a strange feeling and spending an entire day without them was even stranger.  Along with another girl who was there for the same reason, I enjoyed a walk around the Singapore Botanical Gardens.

Alana was so thrilled to perform her ballet dance for the Christmas Concert.

Chapel: Alana had to read John 3:16 and was a mouse in a play.

Vincent also played a big part in his chapel.  He was the emcee and read his parts
very well.

On the same day as chapel, Vince also performed for his Christmas concert by singing
a song with his ensemble class.

 At the Christmas Bazaar all the students had an opportunity to play an Indonesian instrument called the angklung.

We have two weeks of school before heading off to Laos and Cambodia for our Christmas Holidays.  We are looking forward to exploring together and, once again, making memories along the way.
