Steps of Faith: Fun Events!

There are a lot of events that happen here that are worthy of sharing with the grandparents. Here are a few of them:

Golfing: Vince attended a free golf lesson from a couple of golf pros. One of them was very impressed with Vince's swing.

Baseball Game: We don't get to see too many of Paul's baseball games as he plays down town Jakarta and gets home quite late. However, we had the privilege, recently, to watch a game on a Saturday morning and then this past weekend, got to watch a whole tournament in Jakarta.

Field Trip: Another field trip of Alana's. We went to an insect museum and an aquarium. Alana enjoyed watching the various fish get fed. She even got a chance, herself, to feed some of the fish.

I went on another one with Vince as well, but didn't take any pictures. Each class has a Service type project every year and Vince's class visited a school where they teach children with disabilities. They visited the school a few times through the year, singing songs and spending time with them. It is an eye-opening experience for them and such a wonderful opportunity to be a blessing to others.

Soccer Tournament: Vince had soccer practice two times a week after school for a the last few months and they ended off with a tournament against other schools. Vince enjoyed playing in net.

Student-Led Conferences: At the end of third term all the students in Junior School participate in Student-Led Conferences. They are in charge of bringing us to different centres that allow parents to see the types of things they are learning about.

Junior School Assembly: Alana's class led the last assembly. This was the costume she wore as she sang a song about all the animals and birds that God created.

Ballet Performance: This was a big night for Alana and all the ballet dancers. Every grade performs a final dance. We were so proud of Alana!

Swimming Carnival: This was a school competition between the four house teams. Vince swam hard for the three races he was in and ended up winning two firsts in the freestyle and breaststroke and a second in the relay. He has come a long way in perfecting his swimming techniques and we are so proud of him.
